Discussion on the Guiding Value of Trace Element Detection for Children's Health 微量元素检测对儿童健康指导价值探讨 Wu Jinyao 吴金瑶 Abstract: Objective: This paper mainly discusses the value of trace element testing for children's health guidance. Methods: A total of 950 children who underwent physical examinations at our hospital from January 2020 to September 2020 were selected as the main subjects of this study. They were divided into three groups based on age: Group A, Group B, and Group C. Group A consisted of 315 children aged one year or younger (including one year), Group B consisted of 320 children aged between one and three years (excluding one year but including three years), and Group C consisted of 315 children aged over three years. All three groups underwent testing for five trace elements (calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and copper) during their physical examinations, and the test results were analyzed. Results: Children in different age groups (Group A, Group B, and Group C) showed different types of trace element deficiencies, with significant differences between groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: It can be seen that children have different types of trace element deficiencies at different ages.
